Hohner Morino accordions are Made in Germany. We are an Authorized Hohner accordion dealer. We not only sell Hohner accordions, we know Hohner accordions. We are confident the price listed is the best you will find on the Internet. All accordions are thoroughly tested by our trained technicians for perfect playability before leaving our warehouse. Feel free to call us Toll Free 866-892-7078 to discuss the music you want to play and the Morino today. This package ships for FREE.

For nearly a century, the world's top musicians have revered the distinctive sound of Hohner piano accordions. The Hohner sound, for which the company's accordions are famous, originates from the responsive, precisely tuned Hohner reed and the resonant construction of the woodwork. Shortly after the company started manufacturing accordions, this unique sound catapulted the Hohner accordion to the top of the international market, where it continues to be the world's leading brand.

For many years, the legendary Morino has been Slavko Avsenik's instrument of choice, as its unique sound is ideally suited to his conception of Oberkrainer music. His ideas on the perfect accordion are unequivocal: it has to be lighter, the sound has to adhere to all requirements of popular Alpine folk music and it has to look good on stage.

We achieved the desired optical effect through a special shimmering finish. For those players who prefer a more restrained style, the Slavko Avsenik Morino is also available in black by special order.

Hohner has optimized the Slavko Avsenik Morino for folk music by replacing the "classic" double octave tuning with a triple tremolo. In addition, the tremolo is tuned slightly further apart and the bass is fitted with a powerful bass angle reed block. This allows for better sound projection, especially on stage.

The Morino's distinctive grill also plays an important role in creating the sound. It has had a decisive influence on both Morino sound and appearance for decades.

The reeds are the highest quality we have seen and are hand finished, one at a time, by Hohner's master craftsmen. The bass blocks on this model are set at an optimum angle for quicker response.

(MA4120SAB) Morino IV 120 "Slavko Avsenik RETRO" w/ Musette, 41 Keys/120 Basses, Black
Hohner’s former chief designing engineer Venanzio Morino started making instruments according to his own vision in 1936.  The Morino legacy lives on in the series which bears his name.  An outsanding feature of the Morino is its tone chamber: an additional resonance chamber in the keyboard, which amplifies warm bass and mid-range frequencies while simultaneously reducing shrill overtones.  Its unique sound has always been the Morino’s trademark.  The wooden core keyboard found in all Morinos features almost frictionless guide elements and is a true engineering feat.  It not only ensures that each key has an exceptionally easy and precise action, but also reduces wear.  The Morino V chorus construction offers exceptionally varied and musically interesting combinations of voices, thanks to the fifth reed block which creates the so-called “triple tremolo” effect and allows additional tonal variation.  The Tutti register also sounds more voluminous in the Morino V.  In addition, the extra weight of the accordion has been reduced by almost 4 1/2  pounds (in comparison to earlier instruments) due to a design revision.  With 41 melody keys and 13 chorus combinations, the Morino V 120 is a top-line instrument which is not only suited for orchestra use, but also for professional soloists.  All models shown here are available as custom instruments in individual variations.
